A fast and storage-saving method for direct volumetric integration of FWH acoustic analogy

چکیده

This paper proposes a new method that makes the direct volume integration of Lighthill stress term in FWH acoustic analogy affordable terms both computational time and disk storage requirement. The is based on dual mesh concept, i.e. while fine used CFD, relatively coarse for calculation. being independent observer positions integral formula are calculated CFD mapped onto during simulation. These sound source on-the-fly computation or saved later use post-processing. A formulation tensor cavitating flow also derived. verified with assessment an inclined marine propeller case. reduction calculation by 98% 99% achieved maintaining small error. • We introduce efficient evaluation underwater noise from propellers. using analogy. propeller. achieved. corresponding code open-access as OpenFOAM library.
